Mr. Magistre has been involved in intellectual property matters for over sixteen years. His practice primarily focuses practices patent prosecution and related counseling. Mr. Magistre has experience prosecuting patents and counseling clients in the areas of mobile telephony including CDMA, radio frequency identification devices, global positioning systems, business methods, and digital recording and reproducing apparati. Mr. Magistre has experience in all aspects of patent prosecution, including preparing appeal briefs and prosecuting reissue applications and patent reexaminations.
Mr. Magistre also has an extensive background in rendering invalidity and non- infringement opinions on patents directed to these technologies.
While attending law school in Washington, D.C., Mr. Magistre worked as a full-time patent examiner for the United States Patent and Trademark Office. During his time at the Patent Office, Mr. Magistre acquired considerable experience examining applications relating to paging technologies, cellular communications, local area networks, electronic security systems, and remote controllers for home appliances.
Mr. Magistre lives in New Jersey with his wife and three children.
